KAMPUTHAW
History
During the Spanish period, the place
now near the University of the Philippines,
Cebu College is the dumping ground of
used metals like iron or steel bars
or in Visayan word 'puthaw'. It is then
popularly known as 'campo sa puthaw'.
Eventually it was joined by the natives
of 'Camputhaw'.
